ABOUT
Three Highgate Arts Foundation
Three Highgate Arts Foundation is a charitable foundation established to advance the arts and education for the public benefit through exhibitions, film, publishing, residencies, talks and educational programmes.
Established in Highgate Village, an area of London with a long artistic and intellectual history, the Foundation builds upon the work of Three Highgate, an independent cultural platform founded in 2021.
The Foundation presents modern and contemporary art alongside projects connecting visual art, film and contemporary thought. Particular emphasis is placed on artists, histories and cultural connections that may be overlooked, underrepresented or newly reconsidered — from rediscovered post-war artistic legacies to emerging contemporary practices.
Through research-led programming and collaboration with artists, writers, filmmakers, curators, estates and academic partners, the Foundation seeks to maintain high artistic and scholarly standards while encouraging wider public engagement with art, cultural history and contemporary ideas.
Exhibitions, films and publications are selected for artistic excellence, educational value and alignment with the Foundation’s charitable purposes. All programming is overseen by independent trustees to ensure public benefit, intellectual depth and accessibility.
Artist Residency
The Three Highgate residency programme provides artists with studio space, exhibitions, talks and opportunities for public engagement.
Developed as part of the Foundation’s wider artistic and educational programme, the residency offers time and context for research and creative practice while encouraging dialogue between artists, audiences and contemporary culture.
Through exhibitions, discussions and related programming, the residency seeks to broaden public engagement with visual art and contemporary ideas.
